SMS Opt-In Disclosure — Vehicle Service Updates
Last Updated: August 8, 2026
1. About This Program
This page documents the exact opt-in disclosure shown to vehicle owners before they are enrolled in SideKick360 Vehicle Service Updates, the customer care text messaging program operated by 9DATA9 LLC d/b/a SideKick360 on behalf of participating independent automotive repair shops.
Messages are sent by the customer's own repair shop about that customer's vehicle and service visit: repair status and completion notices, recommended or declined service follow-ups, appointment reminders, and service reminders based on prior visits. Conversations are two-way — a customer may reply directly to the shop.
2. How Customers Opt In
Consent is collected in person by the shop at the point of service, when the customer drops off a vehicle. Enrollment requires an affirmative act by the customer: checking the consent box on the repair order, or verbally agreeing after the advisor reads the disclosure below. A customer who provides a phone number without agreeing to text updates is not enrolled.
Every participating shop uses the standard language below. It is printed on the repair order, read aloud at the service counter, and posted at the counter itself.
2.1 Printed consent on the repair order
The following appears on the repair order the customer signs, directly beside the mobile number field:
☐ Yes — text me about my vehicle. By checking this box and providing my mobile number, I agree to receive text messages from [Shop Name] about my vehicle's service, including repair status, recommended service, and service reminders, sent through SideKick360. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies — typically 1–5 messages per visit. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Terms: sidekick360.app/terms — Privacy: sidekick360.app/privacy-policy-2
— Repair order consent line, printed beside the mobile number field
2.2 Spoken disclosure at the service counter
Service advisors read the following before entering a mobile number:
Would you like text updates about your vehicle? We'll text you about your repair status, anything we find, and future service reminders. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out. It's not required for your service either way.
— Service advisor script, read at vehicle drop-off
2.3 Counter signage
The following notice is posted at the service counter where numbers are collected:
Text updates about your vehicle. Ask us to text you your repair status, recommended service, and service reminders. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. sidekick360.app/terms · sidekick360.app/privacy-policy-2

3. Sample Messages
Every message identifies the sending shop by name. These are representative of the program:
- Thatcher's Tire Pros: Hi John - your 2019 Silverado is ready for pickup. Reply here with any questions. Reply STOP to opt out.
- Thatcher's Tire Pros: Hi John - during today's inspection we found a worn front brake pad and recommend replacement. Reply here to discuss. Reply STOP to opt out.
- Thatcher's Tire Pros: Hi John - your Silverado is due for an oil change based on your last visit on 3/12. Reply here to schedule. Reply STOP to opt out.
4. Message Frequency and Cost
Message frequency varies and depends on the customer's service activity. Customers typically receive between one and five messages during an active service visit, plus occasional reminders between visits. This is a recurring program.
Message and data rates may apply. Neither SideKick360 nor the participating shop charges the customer for these messages, but the customer's mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply to messages sent and received.
5. How to Stop or Get Help
Reply STOP to any message to cancel. The customer receives one confirmation message and no further messages from that shop's program. CANCEL, QUIT, OPTOUT, UNSUBSCRIBE, STOPALL, REVOKE, and END are honored the same way. Opt-outs take effect immediately and apply to every message type in the program.
A customer may also ask any participating shop to remove their number, with the same effect.
Reply HELP or INFO to any message for assistance, or contact the repair shop directly using the phone number on the repair order. Customers may also contact SideKick360 support at support@sidekick360.com.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to carrier network availability.
6. Privacy
Information collected through this program is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Program terms are set out in section 26 of our Terms and Conditions.
7. Eligibility and Contact
A customer must be the account holder or have authorization from the account holder for the mobile number provided, and must be at least 18 years old.
