How Remote Support Works

We use TeamViewer to securely connect to your shop’s computer for installations and troubleshooting.

Download TeamViewer QuickSupport

Visit teamviewer.com/download and download QuickSupport. It’s a small file — no installation needed.

Run the downloaded file

Double-click the downloaded file. A small window will appear showing your TeamViewer ID (a 9–10 digit number) and a Password.

Share your ID and Password

Enter your TeamViewer ID and Password in the support form below, or share them by phone at (602) 345-1090.

We connect and resolve your issue

Our team connects remotely, and you can watch everything we do on screen. You can disconnect at any time by closing TeamViewer.

Is it safe?

You control the session. You see everything we do, and you can end the session instantly by closing TeamViewer. We only have access while you’re actively sharing.

When is TeamViewer needed?

Installation: All SMS systems except NAPA TRACS and Tekmetric (those are cloud-based).
Troubleshooting: All shops, regardless of SMS system.

What is TeamViewer and why do I need it?

TeamViewer lets our support team securely view and control your shop’s computer remotely. We use it to install SideKick360, configure your SMS integration, and troubleshoot issues — all without needing to visit your shop in person.

Is TeamViewer safe?

Yes. You control the session at all times. You can see everything we do on your screen, and you can end the session instantly by closing TeamViewer. We only have access while you’re actively sharing your ID and password.

What’s the difference between QuickSupport and a full TeamViewer install?

QuickSupport is a small program you download and run — no installation required. It generates a temporary ID and password that expire when the session ends. We recommend it for most support sessions.

A full TeamViewer install is only needed if our team specifically requests it for ongoing remote access (rare).

I use NAPA TRACS or Tekmetric — do I still need TeamViewer?

For initial setup, no — NAPA TRACS and Tekmetric are cloud-based, so installation is handled through your browser or automatically.

For troubleshooting local computer issues, data exports, or network configuration, we may still need TeamViewer to connect to your workstation.

Where do I find my TeamViewer ID and password?

When you run QuickSupport, a small window appears showing “Your ID” (a 9–10 digit number) and “Password” (a short alphanumeric code). Enter both in the support form above, or share them with us by phone.

What are your support hours?

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MST. We typically respond within 2 hours during business hours. For urgent issues outside these hours, email support@sidekick360.com and we’ll prioritize it first thing.

How long does installation take?

Most installations are completed within 48 hours of receiving your TeamViewer credentials. The remote session itself typically takes 15–30 minutes depending on your SMS system and network configuration.
