Chrome Extension
Maintenance Hunter, one click away in your SMS
The SK360 Maintenance Hunter Chrome extension adds a one-click button to your cloud Shop Management System’s repair-order page. Click it on any RO and you’ll get a full Maintenance Hunter report in under 4 seconds — without leaving your SMS.
One-Click Reports
Generate a Maintenance Hunter report directly from the open RO — no copy/paste, no tab switching.
Under 4 Seconds
Service advisors see vehicle history, missed services, and recommendations before they hand the keys back.
Private & Secure
Runs only on supported SMS repair-order pages. No keystroke logging, no browsing history, no third-party trackers.
How It Works
The extension lives quietly in Chrome and only activates on supported SMS repair-order pages.
Open a repair order in your SMS
The extension detects supported repair-order pages and injects a Maintenance Hunter button into the page.
Click the Maintenance Hunter button
The extension reads the RO data already on the page — customer, vehicle, mileage, services — and sends it to SideKick360 over HTTPS.
Report opens in a new tab
Your Maintenance Hunter report opens automatically — ready to share with the customer or print at the counter.
Currently Supported
Tekmetric. Additional cloud SMS adapters are on the roadmap. Each adapter is scoped to only that SMS host — the extension never runs on unrelated sites.
What You’ll Need
An active SideKick360 account with Maintenance Hunter enabled. That’s it — install the extension and follow the setup prompts. Your account details are configured automatically during setup.
Permissions
The extension only requests storage, scripting, and host permissions for the supported SMS plus api.sidekick360.com. No access to all websites, history, or tabs.
Install & Set Up
Takes about a minute. Install, follow the prompts, and you’re done — no keys to copy or paste.
Install from the Chrome Web Store
Open the Maintenance Hunter Extension listing and click Add to Chrome.
Follow the setup prompts
The extension walks you through a short setup the first time you open it. Your account details — Site ID and API key — are configured automatically. There’s nothing to copy or paste.
Open any RO in your SMS
You’ll see the Maintenance Hunter button appear on the repair-order page. Click it — your report opens in a new tab.
Nothing to Configure
No Site ID, no API key, no manual copy/paste. The setup prompts handle everything for you when you first open the extension.
Per Workstation

Frequently Asked Questions
Which SMS does the extension work with?
Today, the extension supports Tekmetric. Additional cloud-based SMS adapters are on the roadmap. Each adapter is scoped to only the SMS host required for that integration — the extension never runs on unrelated websites.
Do I need an active SideKick360 account?
Yes. The extension is intended for shops that already have a SideKick360 subscription with Maintenance Hunter enabled. Without an active account, the Site ID and API key won’t generate reports.
Do I need to enter a Site ID or API key?
No. We improved the setup so there’s nothing to copy or paste. Just install the extension and follow the setup prompts — your account details are configured automatically.
What data does the extension read?
Only what’s already visible on the open repair-order page: RO ID, customer name/contact, vehicle (year/make/model/VIN/mileage), services and parts, and your shop’s location identifier. It does not read other pages, record keystrokes, capture screenshots, or access your browsing history.
Full details are in the extension privacy policy.
Where is the data sent?
Over HTTPS, only to api.sidekick360.com (Maintenance Hunter API) and AWS-hosted report assets. No third-party analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or telemetry are involved.
Can I install it on multiple workstations?
Yes. Install the extension on each workstation your service advisors use and run through the quick setup prompts once on each. There’s nothing to copy between machines.
Is there a cost for the extension?
No. The extension is free for active SideKick360 customers with Maintenance Hunter enabled.
